Placid Larry - "12"

Placid Larry (alias Daniel Ray) is a South African born electronic music producer, currently living in Bahrain where he has been developing his sound and has been working as a resident DJ in a restaurant/lounge since 2007.
His influences are vast – from trip-hop through jazz and house to drum&bass.
His second release on label Lemongrassmusic is named "12" - an album of  deep heartfelt goodness  . 12 short stories  encompassing  a refined outlook on downtempo and broken beats without sacrificing the necessary. An uncomplicated array of work focused around the idea of simplicity . 

Despite the seriousness at times , the album possesses a strong overall sense of positivity - a belief that better things are to come . Gentle emotive tracks for happy peaceful times  ..

Friend and well known sax player in Bahrain , Franky Flowerz makes a lovely contribution on 'Weary Drifter' and 'Subroutine' filling space with beautiful brass melodies providing depth and continuity to this LP.
